Warnick/Petersen Family History
Research Information

Ah - the FUN stuff! (hehehe)

I'll try to keep track of my sources here.

Also (FYI) list some family history words that I always have a hard time recreating, like:
* Genealogical (here I always want to leave out the "a")
* Ancestry (here I always want to add an "a" - go figure!)
* Ahnentafel (I don't even TRY to remember this one!)

And here are some useful (some just fun) sites:

Ancestral Findings

Ancestry.com

Cyndi's List (you can get lost in here!)

Family Search (LDS Site)

Family Search's list of other genealogical/family history sites

GENDEX (Genealogical Index)

Genealogy Resource Index - Denmark

Genealogy Resources - Sweden

GenTree (Online Genealogical Database Index)

GENUKI (UK and Ireland Genealogy - GREAT information here!)

LDS Emigrant Ship Rosters and Histories

The National Archives Genealogy site

Roots Web (supported by Ancestry.com)

TimeLines (a fun place to track timelines)

Tracing Mormon Pioneers

Tracing Scandinavian Latter-day Saints

Research Tips

The information at FamilySearch is made up of two types. The Ancestry File is purely information sent in from people. It has presumably been researched, but there is no way of knowing unless you find the original sources yourself. In addition, on occasion, different family members who have different information and send it all in will cause the database to provide some conflicting information. This just means, it is a good place to start, but be wary of the validity of the actual information.

The other sources from FamilySearch are pretty well documented.
